Novartis Visitor Reception
Architect:
Project Architect: Andrew Ruggles
East Hanover, NJ
Completed 2013
The Visitor Reception Building provides a dramatic gateway for guests arriving to the newly expanded campus of Novartis' North American Headquarters. The pavilion emerges from the landscape, slipped between berms that dissolve into the campus' perimeter fence. A sequence of reception, orientation, and gathering spaces are situated below the pleated ribs of the sweeping split wing roof canopy. Certified LEED Gold, the project features a low-E insulated structural glass enclosure and a solar canopy at the parking area for on-site energy generation. The project won the 2016 AIA Best in New York State Award.
